Founded in 2019, the Illinois Public Reserves Investment Management Trust™ (IPRIME™), The Fund, was created to assist municipal entities in Illinois with daily cash management and investment service needs. 

In accordance with 30 ILCS 235, IPRIME provides municipal entities multiple investment programs such as Investment Shares Series, Limited Term Duration, and Term Series pools, in addition to the services below: 

Dedicated Institutional Investment Specialist

Each IPRIME Participant is assigned a day-to-day contact who is available Monday through Friday during business hours. PTMA’s Investment Specialists can help schedule transfers in and out of IPRIME, place investments through PTMA’s Fixed Income Investment Platform, obtain monthly reports, and assist with any other inquiries. We are headquartered in Illinois, offering a local presence to our Illinois municipal clients. 

Website Access

Participants have access to PTMA’s comprehensive reporting website Government Portfolio System (GPS). GPS offers a secure portal for participants to initiate transactions, view fixed income portfolios and account balances, download monthly statements & confirmations, and review transaction history. GPS is secured with an AWS Certificate Manager.

Multiple Accounts

The Fund offers Participants the ability to establish multiple accounts for a single entity. This provides the option to segregate dollars, if needed, to help with fund accounting or track government projects and services.  

Receive Tax Revenue

 IPRIME has the ability to receive ACH direct deposits of state and local tax distributions.  Using the Fund to receive revenue distributions allows for immediate interest earnings, eliminates the need to initiate a transfer from your local institution and maximizes investment potential of the funds. It also streamlines the administrative process for office staff with detailed monthly activity statements. 

Free Third-Party Wire/ACH Services

The Fund offers free third-party wire or ACH services through the Custodian Bank, BMO Harris Bank N/A. Any transactions involving the electronic transfer of funds to third parties are executed quickly, reliably and offered at no additional cost. This allows for cost-effective solutions to managing payments and disbursements for all IPRIME Participants.
